You Can Work Full Time and Homeschool

"I desperately want to homeschool, but I have to work."

If this is something you've said before (or maybe thought - but didn't want to say out loud),

then you're in the right place.

Welcome! You're not alone - not by a long shot.

I'm here to help you with that feeling in your gut that says:

Something isn't right with school.

School is claiming more family time than it should.

My child needs something better than this.

I want to have a bigger role in my child's life.

I want my kids to have more creativity, more freedom, more CHILDHOOD.

I feel like helping with homework is my second job, but I don't have any control over it.

"Everybody does it" just doesn't seem like a good reason to keep doing this.

...But I don't have a choice!

You do have a choice. You can homeschool. You don't have to quit your job.

Lots of us work and homeschool (by lots I mean a couple hundred thousand) - it can really make life better (get the facts here).

My name is Kelly Harbaugh.  I have been working and homeschooling since 2010. I don't mean I had a party-selling business on the side that gave me some spending money.  I mean I had a boss and went to an office and did work for a company as an employee full-time. After a couple of years and some grad school, I started a freelance business and started to work at home. I've done it both ways. One isn't better - they are just different. There are advantages to both.

I've graduated two kids (one is a college grad, one is a college student).

It wasn't easy.

I'm not more patient than you are.

One of them drove me crazy on a daily basis (yeah, he knows who he is).

I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

I'm starting this journey again with my third child (He's actually not much older than his nieces). I'd like to do this together. Want to try? I can help you with some of those things you are thinking:

Am I qualified?

How can I do this if I am already overwhelmed with them at school?

Will I be depriving my kids of something?

What will my friends think?

What will my family think?

What will by boss think?

I'll help you answer some those, and not care about the answer to others of those (depends on the question).
